The ultrasonic sensor immersed in water sends a beam of ultrasonic waves to the bottom of the water. During the downward propagation of ultrasonic waves, it will reflect back when it encounters suspended and precipitated sludge, and the intensity of signals reflected by sludge layers of different densities is also different. The instrument can obtain the depth or thickness of the sludge interface by detecting the intensity and time of the reflected ultrasonic signal and processing it.
